One of Yorkshire’s leading construction companies LaROCK who are known throughout the Harrogate region for their creation of dynamic ‘superhomes’ and cutting edge eco schemes have announced a series of high profile accolades which have accumulated during Summer 2010. Damian Lawrance, MD of LaROCK comments ‘LaROCK has grown rapidly over the last 4 years and through our unique approach to our industry has led to us to be involved in innovative and exciting projects for which we are being recognised for our dedication and standards.’
2010 has proved a key year in terms of recognition and acclaim which combined with company strategy has led to several significant new opportunities to further fast track an already rapid expansion taking the company into new regions of Yorkshire. This includes securing a significant contract in York for the design and build of a luxury aparthotel scheme on Micklegate.
The scheme within the City walls is a collection of Grade II listed buildings which have been welcomed by the City of York Council who has given ‘unanimous approval’.
Lawrance comments ‘moving into new territories is significant for us firstly indicating our schemes are innovative and in demand in new regions and secondly because we are able to create new employment to in turn expand our company’.
This comes with the news that LAROCK have also been accredited with the prestigious Investors in People standard as the growth of the company continues to increase due to a high work demand. Marketing Manager Kate Morrell comments ‘The Investors in People accreditation endorses LaROCK’s approach and supports our vision in innovation for our clients and investment in our team’.
Lawrance adds ‘we have some extremely talented people within the company and we have been praised for our ‘empowering’ ethos which allows our team to develop and hone their skills which ultimately gives us the manpower and keen knowledge to be producing the high quality of work as seen in our portfolio.’
Further accolades for the company comes from a global level as International hotel, architecture and design journal ‘Sleeper’ who have covered LaROCK’s luxury design and build scheme The Lawrance, Harrogate in their August issue. Journal editor Matt Turner names LaROCK as responsible for the design, build and restoration of the 3 sites of The Lawrance and compares the scheme alongside some of the ‘best 5 star hotels’ this from an editor who reviews world class design hotels.
Closer to home LaRock have also been credited with the Design and Build for The Lawrance as they were granted ‘Finalist’ status for the sought after RICS property awards for Leisure and Tourism. The same project has also made it through to the finals in the October 2010 Welcome to Yorkshire ‘White Rose Awards’.
