The assent of Mont Blanc is often described a ‘mountaineering’s ultimate objective’ Lawrance comments ‘ with daily challenges in working life carving a successful niche out for LaRock it is crucial to remain focused and balanced, extreme sport is a way for me to keep motivated and poised.’ ‘Conquering Mont Blanc has long been an objective of mine and this comes at a perfect time both personally and professionally.’
Lawrance will spend 3 days in the wilderness acclimatising to the high altitudes sleeping in high mountain huts at gradually increasing altitudes before making the final assent to the top of Mont Blanc as well as training in the lower peaks to hone his skills. His kit will include high performance extreme sportswear including ropes, harnesses, ice and snow gear, axes and crampons.
